Retake Guarantee
What happens if I don’t pass the PE exam?
Other competitors require you to complete 100% of their material with a passing score and have 100% attendance for the entire live class schedule just to be eligible for a free re-take of their online study program if you fail the PE exam.
If you miss a class because you have to work late, pick up the kids, or have a last-minute schedule change you lose your free retake!
Can you see how this is unfair and unrealistic?
The scope of the PE exam is HUGE. Chances are, you might not exactly complete 100% of the material during the time that you have to study. A busy professional schedule and family life also means that you'll likely miss a live class or two.
We will never penalize your eligibility for a free retake of our entire online program if you don't pass the PE exam.
We are all professionals. We'll let you watch every live class recording whether or not you attended it live and it will not affect your retake eligibility. We will also never hold you to a percent completion or passing score of our material as a Retake Guarantee eligibility requirement.
Most competitors will require you to have an unreasonable 100% completion rate of their entire program with a high 90% passing score in order to be eligible for a retake after a failed exam attempt. We consider this unfair and unreasonable.
If you don't pass, all you need to do is send us your NCEES® Verification Link as proof of a failed attempt at the PE exam and we will enroll you back into our online program for an equal amount of time that you previously paid, up to a maximum of 6 months of free complimentary re-enrollment.
To be eligible for the Retake Guarantee you must have a minimum subscription of 2 paid consecutive (without interruption) months with the Monthly Subscription Plan, or be enrolled in the Unlimited Package.
In order for the Retake Guarantee to be valid, you must take the PE exam within one calendar month of the last day of your Electrical PE Review, INC paid enrollment expiration date associated with your most recent enrollment in either the Monthly Subscription Plan or your most recent enrollment in the Unlimited Package.
For example: if the last day of your paid enrollment (Monthly Subscription Plan or Unlimited Package) is January 11th, you must take the PE exam by February 11th in order to be eligible for the Retake Guarantee if you do not pass.
On the Monthly Subscription Plan, your free complimentary retake period will be equal to the number of consecutive months of paid enrollment leading up to your failed PE exam date for a maximum of 6 months of free complimentary enrollment. Renewal payments for additional months of enrollment, or payments paid after the date that you took the PE exam and did not pass, including any payments made to upgrade your Monthly Subscription Plan to the Unlimited Package, are not valid and do not count towards your free complimentary re-enrollment period.
On the Unlimited Package, your free complimentary retake period will be an additional six (6) month Unlimited Package enrollment (183 days).
For Monthly Subscription Plan and Unlimited Package students: You must start your complimentary access on the Retake Guarantee by Midnight (12:00 AM) UTC six (6) calendar months from the date that you did not pass the CBT PE exam as indicated on your NCEES® Verification Link and not the date that you submitted your failed exam notice. Six (6) months after the date that you did not pass the CBT PE exam, your Retake Guarantee will expire and no longer be redeemable.
For example: if you take the PE exam on February 8th and do not pass, you have until midnight (12:00 AM) of August 8th, *UTC time zone to start your Retake Guarantee complimentary access.
As long as you start your Retake Guarantee complimentary access by this time and date, you'll have access for the entire duration that your complimentary access on the Retake Guarantee is eligible for.
*UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time zone. Click here to convert midnight UTC (Coordinated Universal time zone) to your local time.
If you do not start by this date, your Retake Guarantee complimentary access will expire and will not be redeemable.
Your retake guarantee duration is for consecutive months only. Once you start your retake, you may not pause it or put it on hold for a later date in the future.
For example: If you are eligible for 3 months of complimentary access with the Retake Guarantee and you start it within six (6) calendar months from the date that you did not pass the CBT PE exam, your account will be enrolled for three consecutive months at no cost.
You may not pause after the first or second month to save or pause any remaining complimentary months of access for a later date or time.
The complimentary re-enrollment period with the Retake Guarantee may only be redeemed once and is valid for one free retake of our online program, including live class.
To submit your failed CBT PE exam results to claim your Retake Guarantee re-activation link, send a copy of your NCEES® Verification Link to zach@electricalpereview.com.

Billing and Subscriptions
Can I share my login information or split the cost of enrollment with another user?
No.
Each enrollment is valid for one user only. We work extremely hard to keep our course at an affordable rate for other engineers. Sharing login information with another user jeopardizes our ability to do so, and will be considered a legal copyright infringement and intellectual property violation. It is also a violation of our terms of service.
We use an IP tracking system to ensure that only one person is using each enrollment and any account that is being shared with another person will result in automatic account termination without a refund.
In order to protect our content, we will strongly consider legal action using your personal data if you distribute our material illegally.
How much does it cost to join and study for the PE exam?
We currently have three pricing tiers:
Free Trial for $0.
Monthly Subscription Plan for $299 / month.

The Monthly Subscription Plan and the Unlimited Package includes Live Class.
Compare all three plans by visiting the pricing page.

Should I enroll in the Monthly Subscription Plan or the Unlimited Package?
It depends on how much time you are planning on studying. We've found that starting four months before the PE exam tends to produce the best results.
If you are planning on studying for at least four months, signing up on the Unlimited Package will save you $598 on six (6) months of enrollment compared to the same enrollment on the Monthly Subscription Plan.
The Unlimited Package is currently priced the same as just four (4) months on the Monthly Subscription Plan. This will give you access to our entire program for up to six (6) months at the cost of just four (4) months.
If you are planning on studying for less than four months, then you should enroll in the Monthly Subscription Plan instead.
How do I print the course notes use offline as reference material?
The material inside the Online On-demand Course has been designed to be printed directly from your browser window using
Google's Chrome browser.
The entire content of our online course is intended to be printed out, put into binders, and used as quick access reference material or to use to study offline.
Prior to the transition to the new computer based testing (CBT) format for the Electrical Power PE Exam in December 2020, feedback from our students that have passed the PE exam have said that the printed course notes were the only reference material they used to pass the exam besides codebooks. Unfortunately, outside reference material is no longer permitted in the exam room with the new CBT format.
Important: Your enrollment in our online program comes with a personal use license for all printed material. You may keep the printed material after the exam as helpful reference material for your professional career but you are not authorized to give it away, sell it, or to distribute it either electronically or as a hard copy. Doing so is a violation of copyright and federal intellectual infringement.
We work extremely hard to keep our online program priced at an affordable rate for other engineers. Selling or giving away our material jeopardizes our ability to do so, and will be considered a legal copyright infringement and intellectual property violation. All printed material from our online program contains hidden user account identifying information that will be used to identify the full legal name, billing address, and credit card that purchased the material to identify who unlawfully distributed it. If you save pdf files, email them to a friend, and he or she posts them online, you will be ultimately held legally responsible.
We have an incentive to protect our intellectual property so that we can continue to keep the cost of our program low in order to continue to help future engineers.
So please, do not get caught giving away, selling, or posting our material online. It's not worth the time and hard work you've put in to pass the exam. Ethical violations are also grounds for losing your professional engineering licenses in most, if not all, states.
For more information please read our Terms of Use that you opted into when you registered.
Should I buy any reference books and practice exams to help me study?
While outside references are no longer allowed for the PE exam after the transition to the new computer-based testing (CBT) format, many engineers find reference books and practice exams as a good source of additional supplemental material.
Here is our complete list of Recommended References for the Electrical Power PE Exam.
